Domus Donates to local SPCA

Learners were encouraged to offer what they could to help animals in need to bring the school’s motto, freedom in service, into action.

As a part of its first Domus Cares project, Domus Academy donated food and blankets to the Kempton Park SPCA on March 5. Learners were encouraged to offer what they could to help animals in need to bring the school’s motto, freedom in service, into action.

Domus Cares, the brainchild of the school’s leaders, is all about giving back to the community and the importance of social responsibility. To them, freedom in service means gladly serving those around you, which is a big part of what the school is about.

The pandemic has left many dogs and cats in need. So much so that some of the 120 kennels are full. The staff at the SPCA were grateful for the donation and expressed how every donation that comes in helps them tremendously.

Unfortunately, it is not only the animals that need help but the staff as well. Products such as soap, toiletries, milk, tea, coffee and the like would be greatly appreciated. If you are interested in donating to the SPCA, contact 011 9756537 or 011 0283203 or send an email to info@kemptonspca.co.za
