Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after Glen Marais collision

A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital following a crash on Sunday afternoon on the R21 near the R23 interchange in Glen Marias, Kempton Park. Shawn Herbst from Netcare 911 said that reports indicated that a motorcycle and motor vehicle were involved in a collision.
“On arrival paramedics found two patients, an adult male driver of the motorcycle and an adult female passenger. “The man had sustained serious injuries and was treated on scene by an emergency care practitioner and once stabilised was airlifted to hospital.

“The woman had also sustained serious injuries and was treated on scene by another private ambulance service before being transported to the hospital,” said Herbst.
