Generosity and the spirit of Ubuntu was witnessed at Isuzu Truck World Kempton Park’s charity event, held at the Max Informal Settlement in Kempton Park, on March 24.

Max Informal Settlement resident Angel Ngoma, was pleased to receive her parcel during Isuzu Truck World Kempton Park’s charity events held at the settlement.

The Isuzu Truck World team, together with Isuzu ChildLife Fund and Lazarus Foundation, handed 500 parcels to the residents at the settlement. Residents’ faces were filled with happiness and joy as they waited patiently to collect their individually and thoughtfully packed food parcels.

Refilwe Nkgoeng said she is grateful to receive such a carefully and thoughtfully packed parcel from Kenneth Kotze.

“I am very happy and feel great joy inside to receive this parcel. We truly are grateful for such selfless acts of the team from Isuzu,” said a grateful Angel Ngoma, one of the residents. Audrey Gopa shared the same sentiments as Ngoma and said, “We are blessed to receive these parcels. We are beyond grateful and appreciate all they have done for us. These will go a long way in assisting us and our families.”

The parcels contained maize meal, instant porridge, macaroni, sugar, rice, salt, soya mince, corned meat, soup sachets, backed beans, tinned fish, sunflower oil, tea bags, tooth paste, bath soap and sanitary pads.

The Isuzu team handed 500 parcels to the residents at the settlement. They brought great joy and hope to the residents.

The Isuzu team also showed commitment and care while handing out the parcels with passion and smiles. The team thanks Makopano Security for assisting to control the crowd and Signwrap for sponsoring the branding of the truck.
