SAPS warns of bogus taxi
Once a person enters the vehicle, they are held at gunpoint and robbed of personal belongings before being dropped off.
Norkem Park SAPS alerted community members to look out for a white Quantum minibus that has been mistaken for a public taxi.
“We received reports that three men who are occupants of the vehicle are armed with guns,” spokesperson for Norkem Park SAPS Sgt Barbara Ferreira said. “Once a person enters the vehicle, they are held at gunpoint and robbed of personal belongings before being dropped off.”

Ferreira added that in some cases, the victims have been threatened with rape. If members of the community spot or encounter the occupants or vehicle, they are urged to inform the client service commander on 071 675 6803.
