Man arrested for driving under the influence
“The 28-year-old suspect, facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless and negligent driving, will appear in the Thembisa Magistrate’s Court. Investigation on all cases continues,” Giblin said.
Members of the Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) apprehended one suspect and recovered a vehicle from April 30 to May 2.
According to BFS communications officer WO Grant Giblin, members who were on patrol on Reverend Namande Drive, Thembisa, noticed a vehicle being driven recklessly.
“When the driver pulled over, it was discovered he was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and was immediately arrested,” Giblin said.

“In further policing, an abandoned white Toyota Hilux, reported in a Kempton Park case, was discovered at the Kaalfontein Station in Esselen Park. “The 28-year-old suspect, facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless and negligent driving, will appear in the Thembisa Magistrate’s Court. Investigation on all cases continues,” Giblin said.
