Family appeals for community’s assistance in locating loved one
“We pray to God that Cashal is all right; we just want her to be safe.”
The family of Cashal Human have appealed to the community for assistance in finding the missing 23-year-old.
Human, a former Edenvale resident, was last seen in Edenvale CBD on the evening of May 10 near Max-X Strip Club and Sports Bar getting into the vehicle of a male DJ.
She has blue eyes, short and spiky dark brown hair, 1610 tattooed at the base of her neck and a butterfly tattoo on one of her wrists.
She weighs approximately 50kg and is described as having a petite to medium build.
Edenvale SAPS spokesperson Sgt Jacob Mashile confirmed that a missing person’s case was opened and under investigation.
A family representative told the NEWS Human had worked at Max-X as a bar manager.
“The night Cashal disappeared she had a dispute with management and was fired,” said the representative.
“She was asked to finish her shift, which ended at midnight, and leave.”
The family representative said nobody has seen or heard of Human since the evening she left with the DJ.
“Cashal has a four-year-old son, who lives in foster care, whom she contacts and visits every few days. They have not heard from her either.”
The family representative told the NEWS Human had to vacate the property she was living at in Pomona by May 11, as it was affiliated with her former workplace.
Mashile said according to the reports of eyewitnesses, Human is in the greater Edenvale area.
“Witnesses police have spoken to reported seeing her near and around small gambling facilities.”
Mashile said if community members see Human, they should contact the police instead of approaching her.
Edenvale SAPS can be contacted on 10111 or 011 553 8600.
Alternatively, contact Tinky Lategan of National Crime Investigation Services, whom the family asked for assistance, on 063 440 3838.
“We pray to God that Cashal is all right; we just want her to be safe,” said the family representative.
