Thembisa beauty aims to help others
Mohau has bigger dreams to change and bring hope to the organisation by helping those in need.
Poverty is wreaking havoc on many communities in the township, affecting hundreds of people.
Model Mohau Matinketsa (22) wishes to assist people in making their lives more comfortable.
The local has been chosen as one of the finalists in the next Miss Cosmos SA to be hosted on July 18.
The pageant focuses on volunteer work, which each contestant must have a background in.

“I was Miss Teen Thembisa in 2015 and Miss Thembisa in 2019. I am a marketing intern and I recently completed my honours in strategic communications,” she said.
She has been in the pageantry world for about five years and said it has helped her grow as an individual who gives back to the community and actively encourages others to take part.
“I hope to win Miss Cosmos SA as the winner will represent South Africa on an international platform. I believe this will also inspire people to know there is no limit to what they can achieve if they believe in themselves.
“The main challenge I am facing right now is limited sponsorship for myself as well as the NPOs that I am working with. They are Joburg Child Welfare and Childhood Cancer Foundation SA (Choc). They both contribute positively to society and they need sponsorship and donations.”
She urged her fellow Thembisans to vote for her; voting closes on July 17.
