‘Bomb scare’ update: Search reveals no bomb at Woodbridge Square (Audio)

“An inquiry will be opened to establish the identity of the caller.”

Woodbridge Square has been declared “safe” after a threat of a bomb was received by a staff member at Absa earlier today.

It was previously reported that civilians were advised to avoid the Woodbridge Square on Monument Road in Glen Marais.

Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS, said operations at the centre are continuing as normal.

“An inquiry will be opened to establish the identity of the caller,” said Mtshali.
