Guinness World Records yet to verify birth of Thembisa decuplets

“At the current time, we are yet to verify if this is a record as the wellbeing of both the mother and babies are of top priority” - GWR senior publicist.

Guinness World Records (GWR) Limited extended well wishes to the Thembisa couple who reportedly became parents to 10 babies.

South Africans expressed shock and even admiration at today’s headline news that Gosiame Thamara Sithole from Thembisa gave birth to the decuplets.

“Guinness World Records is aware of the news that Sithole has given birth to decuplets,” said GWR Limited senior publicist Jessica Dawes based in London.

“We send our congratulations and best wishes to the family. At the current time, we are yet to verify if this is a record as the wellbeing of both the mother and babies are of top priority.

“Our records team, alongside a specialist consultant, are looking into this and will provide any information as soon as possible,” said Dawes.
