Chaplains On Board Initiative helps the distressed

Chaplains On Board Initiative (COBI) is an NPO that provides spiritual and emotional support in addition to guidance pre or post any traumatic event.

Attention all first responders, law enforcement, journalists, the traumatised and psychologically taxed; there is no need to suffer in silence, help is a phone call away.

Chaplains On Board Initiative (COBI) is an NPO that provides spiritual and emotional support in addition to guidance pre or post any traumatic event.

They serve those on the brink of suicide, as well as survivors of suicide. This includes those who have suffered vehicle accidents and any crime-related experience.

Pastor/chaplain Craig Richardson said: “We work closely with SAPS, EMPD, CPF, local security companies and members of the public. We are available 24 hours a day should any need, angst or emotional volatility arise.”

COBI members have also moved away from its conventional metal badge and as of recently, all COBI accredited chaplains will be in a position of ID card and an embroidery badge.
