Residents raise concern over men sitting by the transfer station in Norkem Park

Residents claim that the men stationed at the dumpsite have become out of control, and they are always afraid of being burgled by them.

Norkem Park sector managers paid a visit to the trash facility on June 30.

According to Norkem Park SAPS station commander Col Johannes Tau, everyone wore their masks, and the members of the SAPS reminded them about the pandemic and the importance of wearing them.

“I didn’t see anyone pestering the public, but I did speak with them about it; perhaps a signboard informing the public they should not pay money to these men could put an end to the problem,” said Tau.
