Food airlifted to KZN on Mandela Day

During the riots that brought parts of KZN and Gauteng to a standstill, South Africans again united to help those who were affected.

Airlink was one of the airlines that made special flights on Mandela Day to take food to areas where stores were closed.
It joined hands with Shoprite, Santaco and law firm Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) to provide relief to KZN.
On Mandela Day, they flew 88 volunteers from Airlink and HSF to Pietermaritzburg to help distribute 2 000 hampers to people in need.
Pilots joined hands with Ubuntu Flights to ensure all the areas received the required goods.
