Resident donates masks to the homeless in honour of Madiba

Palesa Mailula donated masks to the homeless as a way of back to the community.

Palesa Mailula dedicated International Mandela Day to donating masks to the homeless in her area as a way of giving back to her community.

The 19-year-old Winnie Mandela resident believes that with the effects of the pandemic that communities are facing, offering a helping hand to those in need goes a long way.

“With are facing the harsh consequences amid the pandemic. Everyone could make use of a little generosity The little seed of compassion that we plant can blossom into fruits of united communities,” Mailula said

“The late Nelson Mandela encouraged us to live with peace and harmony, and uplifting one another is where it all starts. A great community helps each other.”
