Valke decides to end club rugby season
“The decision by the Valke was the right decision as it had both players and coaches in mind. We will continue to train in accordance with SARU's regulations and rules,” said Patrick van Loenen from Kempton Park Rugby Club.
The South African Rugby Union (SARU) has announced on July 27 that club rugby may return to action on August 2.
The Valke Rugby Union, however, decided to stop club rugby and the current season.
With the current situation of Covid-19, the decision was taken for the health of the players, coaches and officials.

“There is still the possibility of the Craven Week happening later this year,” said Gesie van der Merwe when asked if this will also affect schools rugby.
The Express also approached Kempton’s rugby club for comment.
