Members received information about a truck reported as hijacked on a Kempton Park case on Friday at 10:30.

WO Grant Giblin, communications officer at Benoni Flying Squad, said this led officers to a plot on Lionel Road in Petit, where they found the truck and trailer. Five people were arrested.

One person, found in possession of Mandrax tablets, was apprehended in Ivory Park Extension 14 and a white Nissan NP200 was found abandoned in Emfihlweni Section, Thembisa.

The vehicle was traced to a Kempton Park case.

A white Volkswagen Caddy was found abandoned on Reading Road, Actonville, and was traced to a Dawn Park case.
