Salon owner shot, killed after business robbery

"The men robbed the salon owner and later shot him when he pursued them."

Ivory Park SAPS reported that a salon owner was robbed and shot by two armed men on December 12.

The Ivory Park salon owner died on the scene and police opened a case of murder and business robbery.

“The men robbed the salon owner and later shot him when he pursued them. He was found in the middle of the road, with multiple gunshot wounds and was certified dead at the scene,” said Capt Bernard Matimulane from Ivory Park SAPS.

“It is alleged that the victim was at his business, together with his employeem when they were robbed.

“Police are calling on anyone with information about the incident to call 08600 10111 or the Ivory Park SAPS on 011 990 9600,” said Matimulane.

Brig David Mbongeni Ngcobo, the station commander of the Ivory Park SAPS, is calling on members of the community to be on alert during this time of the year.
