Ten Kempton Park officers promoted

Ten police officers at Kempton Park SAPS were promoted from constable to the sergeant rank.

Ten police officers at Kempton Park SAPS made themselves, their families and the station proud with their recent accolades.

The officers went up a rank and were promoted from constables to sergeants.

Their hard work, commitment and dedication to the police service were rewarded and appreciated during a short ceremony at the station attended by their leaders and other officers.

The code of conduct was also read and the newly promoted officers were reminded of their commitment to serve and protect South African citizens.

Some of the higher-ranked officers present were also allowed to congratulate and motivate the officers’ achievements. Common sentiments were that the promotion comes with great responsibility and that they should, at all times, honour what they do and refrain from engaging in corrupt activities.

It was also said that this is the first step in the ladder to climb and that they should show leadership to those behind them for they also have assertive leaders and commanders.

The new sergeants were encouraged to always have discipline, respect those above and below them and the advice to register and study further was also reiterated by Brig Lindani Ndlovu, station commander of Kempton Park SAPS.

“Congratulations on your achievements. This is the second step to extending stay at the SAPS,” said Ndlovu.

“You can one day become a general, so continue to develop yourselves for you have nothing to lose but rather there are benefits towards developing yourself. School is very important and goes a long way as it also helps encourage your children as well. If not for anybody, do it for your children and families.”

The promoted officers are Lucky Sibuyi, Phumzile Tlebetla, Mahlodi Mampane, Mokgadi Manaka, Nelson Tebeila, Aubrey Siave, Makome Masenya, Harris Teffo, Karabo Tlometsana and Phetole Sekgota.
