“The members who received certificates include Capt Willem Freshly, Sgt Solly Hlatswayo, food services personnel Fanie Napyane, Sgt Hazel Ramopai, WO Joseph Kgomo and WO Kwena Mokwele,” said Sgt Dipuo Ditshego, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS.
“During the ceremony, Capt Cecilia Marneweck was also celebrated for having 40 years of loyal service. Station commander, Brig Lindani Ndlovu, congratulated the captain on her dedication and being loyal to the service.”
Ditshego said Marneweck joined the SAPS on January 11, 1982.

“She worked in various stations outside Gauteng until she was transferred to Kempton Park Police Station during 1997 to present,” explained Ditshego.
“Ndlovu said ‘junior police members can learn a lot from the captain that dedication and loyalty pays off, it is not a lot of members who have these kinds of long service; things like corruption can shorten your service.’”
