Six arrested and four vehicles recovered

Success in the weekend crime scene.

The Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) apprehended six suspects and recovered four vehicles and two trailers between February 18 and 20 in Kempton Park and Thembisa.

According to BFS communications officer WO Grant Giblin, members followed up on intelligence near Kempton Park about two stolen truck trailers on February 18 at around 19:00.

They were led to Pomona Road, where the trailers were discovered connected to a truck horse and two suspects in possession of it.

The suspects were apprehended and the trailers and horses were seized.

Members also arrested four suspects for possession of drugs in Mayibuye Section, Midrand, Tsenelong Section, Thembisa, Swazi Inn Taxi Rank and Ivory Park.

Nyaope (heroin), cocaine and dagga were confiscated in these separate incidents.

The squad also recovered four abandoned vehicles: a blue Nissan Sentra abandoned on High Road, Bredell, a silver Toyota Corolla abandoned on Masoleng Street, Wattville, a white Toyota Corolla abandoned in Kgatlamping Section in Thembisa and a white Renault Sandero abandoned in Emapupeni.
