Former professional soccer player and Edenvale resident Phikelani “Stinger” Khumalo took to the ring when he fought Mbiya Kanku on March 26 at Empereors Palace during the Heavyweight Mania Box and Dine Tournament.

The Edenvale boxer suffered his first loss when he was bested by Kanku in the second round.

His boxing record now stands at 5-1.
