According to Rabie Ridge police spokesperson Sgt Dipolelo Moremi, the complainant alleged he was closing his tavern when shots were fired outside the premises.

“The people who were already outside started fleeing and entered the tavern, where the suspects instructed the complainant and the other people inside the tavern to hand them money and cellphones.

“The suspects fired shots, injuring three people. Two of the wounded were hit in the upper body and one in the stomach. A private vehicle was used to transport the injured to Thembisa Hospital. The suspects fled with cash.

“The culprits have not been identified. They left behind four revolver cartridges,” said Moremi.

SAPS urged persons with information to contact 08600 10111 or SMS 32211.
