#ItsWithin campaign launched

The campaign aims to support homegrown talent in the communities of South Africa.

Castle Lager launched the latest chapter of its #ItsWithin campaign at Imbizo Shisanyama, Mall of Thembisa, on May 25.

Brand director Wendy Bedforth said the campaign is aimed at contributing towards beautifying the kasi’s all around Mzansi and uplifting local businesses to the benefit of the township economy.

The launch was attended by special guests such as Thembisa-born Sbusiso Leope, who is known by his stage name Dj Sbu, author and businesswoman Rita Zwane, Bafana Bafana and Supersport United’s goalkeeper Ronwen Williams, Springbok and Bulls props Lizo Gqoboka and Johan Goosen. Proteas captain and Lions right-hand batsman Temba Bavuma also attended.

Sbusiso Leope also known as Dj Sbu, Ronwen Williams, Johan Goosen, Wendy Bedforth, Temba Bavuma, Lizo Gqoboka, and Rita Zwane.

Gqoboka said it was an honour to be celebrating the opportunities and employment created in the country.

“I started the Lizo Gqoboka Foundation as I realised there was a lot of local talent, but not many employment or entrepreneurial opportunities. Through the foundation we give opportunities in sports and education,” said Gqoboka.

“It is just beautiful memories every time you drive back to your old township where you grew up and see the development in the township,” said Dj Sbu.
