Man airlifted after advanced life support intervention near Thembisa

ER24 and other services arrived on the scene at about 19:00 and found the man lying in the middle of the road.

A man in his 50s was critically injured following a motorbike collision on the R21 southbound near the Olifantsfontein off-ramp close to Thembisa on June 13.

The motorbike was approximately 100m from the man.

Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained injuries to his head, chest and abdomen, leaving him in a critical condition.

The man was treated and provided with several advanced life support interventions before he was airlifted by a private medical helicopter to a private hospital.
