“Officers were conducting routine patrols when they received a tip-off of a suspected drug lab,” said the Kempton Park SAPS spokesperson, Sergeant Dipuo Ditshego.
She said officers followed up on the information and found drugs, including heroin and crystal meth, valued at about R50 000.
The officers made no arrests.
Ditshego said community members could help the police by remaining anonymous and contacting 10111 or the Kempton Park Police Station on 011 393 8600.
“If people come to us, there are procedures to ensure they are protected depending on the seriousness of the case they are giving a tip-off on,” she said.
