Police nab three suspects and seize one firearm
Rapid Response Services made three arrests and recovered one firearm in separate incidents between October 31 and November 3.
Between October 31 and November 3, Benoni Flying Squad members arrested three suspects and recovered one firearm.
Officers followed up information on November 31 at around 10:00 of a suspect apprehended by the community with a firearm at Brits Street, Ext 2, Daveyton.
On the scene, a 19-year-old suspect was arrested by members and an unlicensed CZ 9mm pistol recovered with five live rounds of ammunition.

On November 2 at around 13:00 members followed up information of illicit cigarettes at Barcelona, Ext 34, Etwatwa.
A 31-year-old foreigner was arrested and cigarettes valued at approximately R25 000 were recovered.
In further policing, a 35-year-old suspect was arrested in Turton Street, Daveyton when he was allegedly found in possession of one Mandrax pill.
Investigation continues in all cases.
The suspects will be appearing in the Daveyton Magistrate’s Court facing charges of possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition, possession of illicit cigarettes and possession of drugs.
