Accused in Kempton Park human trafficking case granted bail

Fekada Eshetu Dinago, appeared in the Kempton Park Regional Court on July 21 and was granted R5 000 bail under strict conditions.

The man accused in connection with a suspected human trafficking case in Birchleigh North, Kempton Park, has been granted bail of R5 000.

The accused, Fekada Eshetu Dinago, appeared in the Kempton Park Regional Court on July 21, where the court set bail with strict conditions.

Dinago has been ordered not to contact any of the victims in the case.

As part of his bail conditions, he must report to the Norkem Park Police Station every Tuesday and Friday.

The case relates to the rescue of several Ethiopian nationals who were allegedly held captive in a house in Birchleigh North earlier this month.

The matter has been postponed to August 27 for further investigation.
