Inquest docket opened following death at Kempton Park SAPS
Kempton Park Police Station has resumed normal operations following a temporary closure for scene processing.
An inquest docket has been opened following the death of a 28-year-old man at the Client Service Centre of Kempton Park Police Station on Friday, September 4.
Gauteng police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi said the man arrived at the station in the early hours of the morning with facial bruises and asked for an ambulance.
Emergency medical services attended the scene, where the man was declared dead at approximately 08:00.

The circumstances surrounding the death remain under investigation, and a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause.
Station resumes operations
The station was temporarily closed while investigations were conducted and reopened at 17:30 on Friday.
The identity of the deceased has not been released.
