Local library educates girls about cervical cancer
The Birchleigh North Library encourages everyone to sign up as a member and hopes to host more programs that will help spread awareness on important community matters.

The Birchleigh North Library hosted a breast and cervical cancer awareness programme in the Coen Scholts Recreational Hall on October 13.
They invited solid Beginnings Private School girls in grades 4 to 7 to take part in an educational program on the subjects by library cadets Conley Mabaso, Thembisa Nxesi and librarian Michael Mudau of the Birchleigh North Library.
Miss Thandeka Birchliegh North Clinic nurse covered the subject in an educational discussion and self-check lump instruction.

Masego Monagang from the YANA (You Are Not Alone) Women and Children Centre, Lorraine Mokwebo, and Sergeant Mkhonto of the Social Crime Prevention Officer at the Norkem Park Police Station provided useful information on bullying, social crimes, and gender-based violence.
The Love Life Ground Breakers formed part of this innovative program.
The team kept everyone on their feet with exciting icebreakers, songs and activities.
