Every four years, we’re gifted an extra day, a quirk of the calendar known as Leap Day. This phenomenon brings with it a sense of novelty, curiosity and excitement.

Leap-year babies, often referred to as ‘leapers’ or ‘leaplings’, hold a distinct place in our hearts. Their birthdays are a remarkable irregularity of time, a reminder that not all years fit neatly into 365 days.

To honour these individuals, the Kempton Express is reaching out to residents born on February 29, inviting them to share their stories, experiences and reflections on being a leap-year baby.
