The extra ordinary council meeting has concluded with the MMC for Finance Nonkululeko Dunga welcoming the audited financial report.

“We are happy that the report has been tabled and council has unreservedly accepted the report,” he said.

He conceded that there was a regress in the report with the aspect of contract management.

“We would have loved to have a clean audit but we must state that this particular financial report is from the time that the DA was at the helm,” said Dunga after today’s meeting.
