According to Karen Bond, the exhibition is held twice a year with the aim of providing artists with a platform to showcase their work.
“This year’s exhibition is bigger and better. We are running a competition where shoppers are required to spend R250 or more and then fill in an entry form to stand a chance of winning three oil paintings valued at R4000 or month art classes with a sketching pack valued at R1500.

“The public can also vote for their favourite and they could win R500.”
Bond expressed gratitude to Northmead Square for sponsoring them with the venue.
“Our members take turns every day to visit the centre to assist in selling the art pieces.
“So far, we have managed to sell a few paintings including an incredible art piece of one of our members, who is 86 years old, titled Street Scene.

“We have also received good feedback from the public, some of whom are interested in coming for drawing lessons,” said Bond.
