Meet the Kempton Express’ intern journalist Masego Mashilo
“I am delighted to be the voice for the voiceless and to make sure that the concerns of the community are heard and resolved.”
In March, the Kempton Express welcomed TUT intern, Masego Mashilo to the team for her six month Work Integrated Learning (WIL) programme.
“Nothing makes me happier than telling someone’s story.
“I started my internship at the Kempton Express and The Thembisa in March, and it has been nothing but a great journey for me,” Masego said.

“I am happy to be part of this amazing team that works to inform the community about what happens around them.
“I want to be a voice for the community and make sure their concerns are heard and resolved.”
Through her internship, Masego hopes to improve her storytelling and grow in the journalism industry.
“I want to deliver every story in an accurate and truthful manner.”
