Locals come out in numbers to make their mark

The Kempton Express was there to find out why residents chose to vote.

This is what they said:

Ewald de Beer: I am voting because we have to vote. As a democratic country, you cannot complain about the problems out there if you do not vote. Everybody’s vote counts at the end of the day and this year’s elections are critical.

Stephen Lombard: I feel it is time the nation stood up and looked at what was happening, especially considering what’s happened over the past 40 years. It is imperative to vote to bring change.

Sello Mere: I voted because it was the right thing to do as a South African. I think it is everybody’s responsibility to ensure they can have the party that will represent them.
