Wanted murder suspect found dead near Olifantsfontein Road
Mokoena allegedly stabbed his 25-year-old ex-girlfriend, the mother of their two children, a four-year-old girl and an eight-month-old boy, on October 13 in Mayibuye.
A 31-year-old man wanted in connection with the murder of his ex-girlfriend has been found dead.
The body of Katlego Mokoena was discovered with bruises in an open field near R562, Olifantsfontein Road, close to Phumulani Mall, on the afternoon of October 14.
Mokoena allegedly stabbed his 25-year-old ex-girlfriend, the mother of their two children, a four-year-old girl and an eight-month-old boy, on October 13 in Mayibuye.
The incident occurred while the victim was on her way to work.
Emergency Services arrived at the scene and declared Mokoena deceased, and his body was subsequently taken to Germiston Government Mortuary.

Steve Mononela, from the CPF Sector 4 in Mayibuye, revealed Mokoena allegedly had a history of violence.
“He previously kidnapped the victim’s two children for almost three days,” Mononela said.
“As CPF, we worked closely with the deceased woman and her family.
“We conducted a manhunt with the police, and the children were eventually returned. “The suspect allegedly later killed the mother as she was heading to work.”
