EMPD inspects local scholar patrols

On November 19, officers from the EMPD’s Social Crime Prevention Unit conducted a scholar patrol inspection at Mooifontein Primary School in the Kempton Park area.

Zweli Dlamini, EMPD spokesperson said the main focus was to monitor the scholar patrol team and observe compliance from motorists.

He said officers also monitored learner’s transportation to see if they using the correct offloading zone, and to ensure that motorists abide by the rules of the road according to the National Road Traffic Act (NRTA).
