Kempton power supply interruptions planned until THURSDAY

Between today December 2 and Thursday December 5, technicians from the City of Ekurhuleni will conduct maintenance work across various areas.

From today, December 2 to December 5 technicians from the City of Ekurhuleni will be conducting routine maintenance work on electrical components supplying various parts of Kempton Park.

This will result in a power outage for customers in residential and industrial areas from 08:30 to 16:30.

Areas to be affected on Monday, December 2 include the following:

  • Airport Freight Services; and
  • Parts of Rhodesfield (Pretoria Road, Mars Street, Catalina Street, Kittyhawk Street, Wellington Street, Gladiator Street, Havard Street and surroundings).

Areas to be affected on Tuesday, December 3 include the following:

  • Kempton Park Extension 1 to Extension 4 and surroundings.

Areas to be affected on Wednesday, December 4 include the following:

  • Parts of Spartan (Forge Road, Derrick Road, Plane Road, Steel Road and surrounding).

Areas to be affected on Thursday, December 5 include the following:

  • Parts of Kempton Park Extension 1 to Extension 4; and
  • Parts of the CBD.

Customers are advised to treat electrical networks as live at all times while work is ongoing.
