FOUR days of 12-hour power interruptions planned

Technicians from the City of Ekurhuleni will upgrade the electrical components at the Esther Park substation in Kempton Park from Friday, December 13, to Monday, December 16, between 08:00 and 20:00.

This will necessitate a power outage for customers in the residential and industrial areas.

Areas to be affected include the following:

• Esther Park
• Spartan Extension 1 (Plane and Spencer roads)
• Spartan Extension 3 (Roller, Foreman, Vuurslag, Grader and Lovato roads
• Spartan Extension 7;
• Spartan Extension 16 (Platinum, Copper, Bronze, Vuurslag and Felbitem roads
• Camwood and Gifboom roads.

“The city will do everything necessary to shorten period of outage. Meanwhile, customers are advised to treat electrical networks as live at all times while work is ongoing,” said city spokesperson Zweli Dlamini.
