Norkem Park SAPS spearheads operation to shutdown illegal shops

Norkem Park SAPS, under the leadership of station commander Colonel MN Maunatlala, conducted an operation on December 4, leading to the closure of several illegal spaza shops and the arrest of undocumented individuals under immigration laws.

The spaza shops were shut down for failing to meet registration and safety standards.

The operation was a joint effort involving the EMPD, Department of Health, immigration officers and Gauteng Traffic Wardens, reflecting a commitment to enforcing South African regulations and promoting community safety.
