Police arrest 30 illegal immigrants during operation
17 of the illegal immigrants were arrested during roadblock operations and 13 during saturation operations.
Thirty illegal immigrants were arrested this morning following a District Operation Shanela in Germiston led by the Acting District Commissioner, Brigadier Ntombizini Thethe.
The arrest counts as part of the preliminary successes of the operation.
Seventeen of the illegal immigrants were arrested during roadblocks and 13 during saturation operations.

Other suspects were arrested for dealing in drugs, GBV-related cases, contact crimes, and serious crimes.
Thethe said this operation was brought to Germiston to help reduce the crime levels in the area.
