TVET colleges forum kicks off with groundbreaking imbizo

This landmark gathering united TVET Colleges from the Gauteng and Free State, bringing together passionate educators, marketing professionals, and stakeholders to shape a roadmap for the year ahead.
Officials from the Gauteng and Free State TVET/CET regional office joined the event to offer moral support to the colleges.

Forum chairperson Zuko Mbolekwa opened the proceedings, setting the tone for energising, impacted engagement.
Designed to ignite innovative marketing strategies, the imbizo was a platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and strategic planning.
A key highlight was the Drive By Campaign, which made waves in 2024 and will create an even greater impact in 2025 in Gauteng and Free State.
Beyond marketing initiatives, the forum focused on building powerful partnerships to drive innovation and growth in the education and training sector.
A major highlight was a thought-provoking presentation by officials from Inseta (Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority), who shed light on the crucial role of Skills Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) in fostering collaboration between TVET colleges and SETAs.
Adding to the wealth of knowledge, Mr T Mokono, deputy director for marketing and communications outreach at DHET, delivered an insightful session on emerging marketing trends.
