Bullet-riddled body found in river – Help Kempton police identity victim
A partially clothed man with multiple gunshot wounds was discovered in a river near the R25 in Witfontein on May 10.
Kempton Park police are appealing to the public for help in identifying the body of an unknown male discovered in a river near the R25 in Witfontein.
The incident occurred on May 10, when Constable Vuyeka and Constable Malileke were called to the scene by local churchgoers who frequent the area for cleansing rituals.
On arrival, the officers contacted the SAPS Search and Rescue Unit, which retrieved the body from the water.

The deceased, believed to be an African male, was found with multiple bullet wounds and was only partially clothed.
The body was transported to the Germiston Mortuary for further examination.
As the investigation is still in its early stages, police have yet to determine the location of the murder or the motive behind it.
