EMPD demolishes illegal structures in Winnie Mandela
City warns residents against occupying unlawful land after swift action by EMPD units.
Officers from the EMPD’s First Responder Unit and Land Invasion Unit demolished two illegal structures in the Winnie Mandela and Daveyton areas on April 29 and May 1, respectively.
The officers responded swiftly to a complaint about illegal structures in Winnie Mandela Zone 10.

On arrival, they located the structures and proceeded with the demolition. Additional illegal structures were also demolished in Ext 14.
The City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) has urged residents in Winnie Mandela to refrain from occupying vacant land that does not belong to them.
