Kids Haven thanks ACSA for generosity
A heartwarming festive celebration reminded children at Kids Haven that they are seen, valued and supported by their community.
Editor- On behalf of the children, staff and management of Kids Haven, I would like to extend our deepest gratitude for the incredible generosity displayed by ACSA this festive season.
The event was a truly magical experience that created unforgettable memories for the children in our care, kicking off their holiday season with joy and wonder.
The excitement on their faces was absolutely priceless.

We want to give a massive thank you for the fabulous goody bags provided to each child.
Kids Haven in Benoni was established in October 1992.
It was established by a Social Worker, Moira Simpson. Currently, the CEO is Sam Mokgopha.
The organisation’s purpose is to care for and protect children who were living on the streets, those who had street connection behavior and children in crisis.
KH currently provides services to children, young people and families in Benoni and around the Ekurhuleni metro.
Maboea said they cater for 156 children aged 3 to 18 years; however, they accommodate young people aged 18 and above who are still in school, tertiary, or on a learnership/skills development programme.
Our mission is to protect and care for children in crisis, and to foster safe and nurturing environments in families and communities. We aim to empower young adults to participate in the economy and become positive, contributing citizens.
KH receives funding from the Department of Social Development. We also rely on donations given by companies and individuals.
We receive and collect donations of clothes, furniture, toys, toiletries, school uniforms, groceries, and more.
