Local police arrest eight in multi-area drug busts

Members of the Benoni Flying Squad arrested eight suspects and recovered drugs during operations conducted on February 7 and 8.

The suspects were arrested for drug-related offences at the following locations: Albertina Section, Etwatwa, Emaphpheni, Extension 7, Kaalfontein Extension 4, Ivory Park, Endulweni Section, Thembisa and Kempton Park CBD.

During these separate incidents, police recovered crystal methamphetamine, Mandrax, cocaine and nyaope with an estimated street value of R2 500.

Investigations are continuing.

The suspects, aged between 20 and 46 years, are expected to appear in their local Magistrates’ Courts on charges of possession of and dealing in drugs.
