Ekurhuleni north football league continues to heat up

Thembisa South SAPS defeated Olifantsfontein SAPS 2–1 in a friendly match aimed at promoting teamwork and camaraderie among police units.

Thembisa South SAPS played a friendly soccer match against Olifantsfontein SAPS on March 4 as part of the Ekurhuleni North District Soccer League.

The match aimed to promote teamwork, camaraderie and community engagement among SAPS units. Thembisa South emerged victorious, winning 2–1 and securing three points.

Constable Kate Selepe highlighted the broader purpose of the event:

“The purpose of the match is to promote teamwork and camaraderie among SAPS units, while showcasing their community engagement efforts,” she said.

The friendly also provided an opportunity for officers to connect with colleagues from neighbouring stations and foster positive relations both on and off the field.
