New Millennium College matric class achieves outstanding results

The halls of New Millennium College echoed with celebration and pride as the 2025 Matric results were officially released, obtaining once again a 100% Passrate.

Among the many success stories that emerged this year, one name stood out as a shining example of perseverance, discipline, and academic excellence: Athini Maduna.

Maduna joined New Millennium College in 2020, at a time when the world was facing unprecedented uncertainty due to the global pandemic.

Like many learners of her generation, she had to adapt to new modes of learning, navigate challenges, and remain focused in a rapidly changing educational environment. Yet, from the very beginning, she distinguished herself as a learner of exceptional character.

Teachers describe her as diligent, focused, and quietly determined. She consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, approached her studies with seriousness, and embraced every opportunity to grow academically and personally.

Over the years, her commitment never wavered. Her determination has now culminated in a remarkable achievement: She achieved four (4) distinctions and became the top achiever in geography in the whole Ekurhuleni North District, in the 2025 National Senior Certificate examinations.

Maduna achieved distinctions in: life sciences, geography, life orientation and tourism.

The principal stated that these subjects require not only intellectual capacity but also analytical skills, critical thinking, and a practical understanding of real-world issues. Her performance is a testament to her discipline and passion for learning.

Maduna’s success is not an isolated achievement but part of a broader narrative of excellence at New Millennium College.

Year after year, the number of distinctions has grown. Leading the Class of 2025 is the school’s top achiever, Tinashe Mawere, who attained an extraordinary seven distinctions.

His achievement sets a high benchmark and serves as an inspiration to both current and future learners. Tinashe’s performance reflects resilience, intellectual brilliance, and sustained effort throughout their high school career.

Together, Maduna, Mawere, and their peers represent a cohort that has demonstrated that excellence is attainable through dedication and focus.
