Aston Manor Primary warmly welcomes 144 Grade One learners
Smiles, excitement and eager young faces filled Aston Manor Primary School as learners began their formal schooling journey on the first day of the 2026 academic year.
Aston Manor Primary School opened its gates to a wave of excitement on January 14, welcoming 144 Grade One learners for the start of the 2026 academic year.
The first day marked a major milestone for both learners and parents, with the school buzzing as children arrived ready to begin their formal education.

Parents proudly captured the moment with photographs as learners explored their new classrooms and received their stationery packs.

Grade One teacher Cheryldene Bodenstein said the day unfolded smoothly and was filled with positive energy.
“We are very excited to welcome our new Grade One learners. The parents were happy, the children were joyful, and no one cried,” she said.
She added that learners quickly settled into their environment and enjoyed meeting their teachers and classmates.

“Parents took pictures, the learners received their stationery, and they enjoyed seeing their classroom. We are excited for the year 2026,” she said.
