In terms of Section 47 of Chapter 5 of the National Environmental Management: Air Quality Act 39 of 2004, as amended (NEM:AQA), read with the provisions of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (NEMA) (Act No.107 of 1998) as amended, and Chapter 6 of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations, Government Notice No. R326 of 7 April 2017, a notice is hereby given of the intent to renew an approved atmospheric emissions license (AEL) for the facility mentioned below.
DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:
Bayer (Pty) Ltd – Crop Process facility intends to submit a renewal application of its existing AEL, with reference number: 14/1/1/7/8/88/BAYER/SPR, to the City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality for its continued operations which trigger Subcategory 8.1: Thermal Treatment of General and Hazardous Waste in terms of Category 8 of Section 21 of NEM:AQA.
