NOTICE OF THE SECTION 24G PROCESS IN TERMS OF THE NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT ACT FOR THE UNLAWFUL COMMENCEMENT OF ACTIVITIES IDENTIFIED IN TERMS OF THE 2014 ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT REGULATIONS (AS AMENDED) FOR THE MAYIBUYE PRIMARY SCHOOL Notice is hereby given, in terms of Section 24(G) read together with sections of sections 24 (F) of the National Environmental Management Act (Act 107 of 1998) (as amended) of the Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development intention to undertake a Section 24G rectification process for the unlawful commencement of listed activities without an Environmental Authorisation which entailed the construction of the Mayibuye Primary School located on Erf 2326 Commercia Extension, 34 township, Rabie Ridge/Midrand, Gauteng. The Section 24G Environmental Impact Report will be submitted to the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development for decision making under application reference number S24G/03/24-25/0723. Date of commencement of the listed activity: Construction of the Mayibuye Primary School and associated services was completed in March 2024. Co-ordinates: 261`57.01″S; 2810`13.54″E (Central Point). Applicable legislative provision contravened: National Environmental Management Act and 2014 Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations (as amended). Activities commenced: Activity 19 of Listing Notice 1 (GNR) No. 327. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PROCESS As part of the public participation process, you are invited to review and comment on the Draft Environmental Impact Report which will be available for a 30-day period from the 19th October to the 30th November 2026. You may download a copy of the report from Wallace and Green`s website: www.wallaceandgreen.co.za or alternatively an electronic copy can be made available upon request.
