NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR ATMOSPHERIC EMMISSIONS LICENCE (AEL) FOR THE OPERATION OF A STEEL MANUFACTURING PLANT, EKURHULENI METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY Chung Fung Metal Industrial Holding (Pty) Ltd (Applicant) is applying for AEL for the operation of its steel manufacturing plant at 1 Metrorail Road, Dunnottar Extension 8, Gauteng 1496 with an extent of 32 ha. The activity is manufacturing steel.
Environmental Authorization Process:
The Applicant is undertaking the application, which includes the Public Participation Process. Notice is given for the AEL application, to be submitted in terms of section 22A of the Environment Management: Air Quality Act (NEM: AQA) (ACT No.39 of 2004) for listed activity category-4 Sub-category 4.2 Combustion Installations; Sub-Category 4.5 Sinter Plants, Sub-Category 4.6 Basic Oxygen Furnaces; Sub-Category 4.7 Electric Arc Furnace; Sub-Category 4.8 Blast Furnace & Sub-Category 4.10 Foundries, which will be submitted to Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality.
